Krahn Group: Sebbesse takes on management role
Axel Sebbesse will become a Managing Director of the Otto Krahn Group and assume the role of Chief Development Officer (CDO). His future areas of responsibility will include Strategy, Corporate Development, M&A, New Business, and People & Culture. In addition to the Krahn Chemie Group, Otto Krahn Group Holding also includes the plastics distributor Albis, the compounder Mocom, and the plastics recycler Wipag. Sebbesse worked for Albis from 2007 until he became a Krahn Chemie Group Managing Director in 2008. He has been managing the Group since then along with Dr. Rolf Kuropka.
"In the past, Axel Sebbesse has demonstrated great expertise and flair both in the development of sustainable and profitable business areas, in the acquisition of new companies and also in the international expansion of Krahn Chemie," says Philip O. Krahn, CEO of the Otto Krahn Group. "I am delighted to have gained a new business expert with a high level of strategic competence and a keen interest in new areas of the company. In addition to organic growth, M&A and the establishment of new business areas are very important components for us. Now that Axel Sebbesse is on the management board, we have someone who can significantly develop and shape these areas for the Group."
"Otto Krahn Holding is in an extremely interesting development phase. We can look back on a 112-year history, taking what we have achieved as valuable confirmation of our success and, at the same time, as a call to develop further; to open up new questions, regions and business areas and then shape them ourselves or with partners. It is exactly the right time for this step in the further development of the Group. I am very much looking forward to this new responsibility and what we will achieve together as a team," says Axel Sebbesse.
