Kraiburg TPE is presenting a new series of thermoplastic elastomers from its Thermolast K family at Fakuma 2017 that was specially developed for excellent adhesion and UV resistance in two-component applications with ethylene-propylene-diene rubber (EPDM). The new compounds are intended for automotive applications such as EPDM window trim and sealing profiles with moulded TPE corner joints and end elements.

At Fakuma 2017, Hexpol TPE announced plans for further investment and capacity expansion at its site in Lichtenfels, Germany. The investment includes the installation of a new twin-screw production line as well as investment in infrastructure, sub-systems and equipment to support further expansion of the business.

Covestro announced that it will expand its thermoplastic polyurethane production capacity in North America by 25 % by debottlenecking its New Martinsville, WV, USA, manufacturing facility. The additional capacity is expected to come online in the second quarter of 2018.
