Audia Elastomers has announced the introduction of the OP line of TPEs based on marine waste plastics. The company based in Washington, PA, USA; said that the challenge of pollution in our oceans is multifaceted and requires more than one solution. The most important step in stopping and preventing ocean waste is intercepting waste before it ever enters the oceans or a waterway. Therefore, a key component of Audia’s initiative is to create a market for recycled plastic from regions with poor existing waste infrastructure before it enters the ocean.

Zotefoams’ new facility in Brzeg, Poland, is on schedule for production to commence in Q3/2020 as planned. The plant will add 50,000 m3, an increase of some 15 %, to the company’s annual global foam production capacity. The specialist in cellular materials technology said that the site is large enough to accommodate significant future expansion.

The entrepreneurial families Hehl und Keinath, owners of Arburg, have taken over German RepRap GmbH, based in Feldkirchen, in mid-February 2020. Founded in 2010, German RepRap is a manufacturer of industrial 3D systems. With its Freeformer, injection moulding specialist Arburg had a successful entry in the AM market entry in 2013.
