As from 1 June 2010, Bernadette Spinoy, 48, has been appointed as Senior Vice President for Base Chemicals & Health, Safety and Environment (HSE) at Total Petrochemicals. At the same date, Olivier Greiner, 45, joins the Total Petrochemicals Management Committee as Senior Vice President Styrenics succeeding Spinoy. Claude Lebeau, 45, who joined the management committee recently as Senior Vice President Research, Technology & Engineering, will from 1 June 2010 also be responsible for worldwide Strategic Planning.

The first lids with Provalin 1241, the PVC- and plasticiser-free TPE compound for metal lids and caps, are being launched on the market. Provalin was unveiled already at Interpack 08, thus marking completion of an important step toward complying with EU regulations on the one hand and, on the other hand, meeting food manufacturers' anticipated need for legally compliant and product-specific, secure closure variants.
