With the "Elastomer Coffee Talks", Kuraray is launching a new digital seminar format to present users from different industries possibilities to make their products better, more sustainable and more user-friendly with thermoplastic elastomers such as Septon and Hybrar. Four web seminar editions are planned in 2021, in which participants will not only get a lot of practical knowledge but also an opportunity for cross-sector networking. The first web seminar on 9 April 2021 will focus on how elastomers make medical materials and pharmaceutical equipment more efficient and safer - including an outlook on the post-COVID-19 pandemic time. Experts from Kuraray will be joined by a guest speaker from science, industry or research.

Safer Materials for a softer Europe

For users from the medical and pharmaceutical industry, the first web seminar "Safer Materials for a softer Europe" offers practical know-how: What possibilities do thermoplastic elastomers offer in medical devices? And how can innovative TPE materials be used to meet current requirements such as GMP, ISO standards or American USP standards? Marcel Gruendken, Senior Manager MD&TS, Bianca Carvalho, Assistant Manager Sales, and Robin Conrad, Marketing & CRM at Kuraray, will provide answers to these and other questions at the first edition of the Elastomer Coffee Talks. Participations will also find out how the thermoplastic elastomers Septon and Hybrar can replace PVC and greatly improve the performance and safety of medical equipment such as respiratory masks, tubes and IV and blood transfusion bags.
