Kraton Polymers to increase USBC and HSBC prices
Kraton Polymers LLC, a global producer of engineered polymers, announced a general price increase across all markets and end uses, for its SBS, SEBS, OE SBS, and OE SEBS polymers and compounds.
Prices will increase as follows:
- in the Americas by USD 330.00 per metric tonne, or USD 0.15 per lb.,
- in Europe, Africa and the Middle East (EMEA) by EUR 200.00 per metric tonne, and
- in Asia Pacific by USD 330.00 per metric tonne.
Subject to the terms of any applicable contracts, the price increase will take effect no later than 1 August 2009, and may occur earlier as business conditions dictate, says the company.
"Raw material and energy costs are rapidly increasing, and as a result, we are implementing responsible price increases to help us manage these difficult, volatile and global economic challenges," commented David Bradley, Chief Operating Officer.
